Eek A Mouse – Wa-Do-Dem LP [Greensleeves 1981]

I was record shopping the other day and I found this gem. Eek A Mouse is arguably one of the most recognized reggae voices of the Jamaican dance hall scene of the 70s and 80s. Wa-Do-Dem was released in 1981 with Greensleeves Records in the UK. The smaller, more independent label Shanachie records is responsible for bringing the album to the United States. The first track on this album is one of my favorites. I first heard it on the Big Blunts Vol. 2 album which was a class favorite among my friends in high school. If you haven’t heard this whole album, I would strongly recommend finding a copy.Once again, here’s the tune.

Enjoy!
