GetDarkerTV #120 – OM UNIT, JAY 5IVE & KROMESTAR

This is one of my favorite GetDarker TV episodes featuring OM UNIT, JAY 5IVE, and KROMESTAR.  #120 is from almost exactly a year ago, and let me tell you, all three of these bass madmen bring hella chilled out mellow and deep sets to the GetDarker studio!  This is the first episode of GetDarker TV in their new studio which features 6 decks and 6 cameras.  Enjoy! You’ve got a few hours of listening ahead!

More Fire Crew – “Oi”

OI WHO’S THAT MORE FIRE CREW!? Takin’  it back to ’06 with this one. I heard this grime tune for the first time last week when DJ Preacha dropped it on Get Darker TV. I was surprised when I looked up the date and saw that it was nearly six years ago that the tune came out! Check out these guys, pretty cool tune with a bit of an old school vibe.

RUF – No Stress Riddim

Clean your ears with this fresh tune of heavy, bass riddims.  Ruf shows his stuff with hard hitting, syncopated beats and rhythms.  His light lead in will lure you through wicked, dragging synths flooding into a womping, digital, wonderland of percussion.  Imagine the clouds emanating thunder bass shocks through your every sense while rolling you in its weight of heavy subbing .  The filthy synths are tuned to get any bass head caught in a speaker box.  Incase you feel the need to hear this track thrown in the mix, Sukh Knight drops it properly in Get Darker’s set (included below).

Cauze – Doomsday

Get your ears ready and tune into this tribal soundscape where the  call of wild birds will lead you along their flight for the preparation of the mad drop. Burn some sage as you cover yourself in your fuzziest bass blankets because nature’s music of the wild calls.  Cauze, with top notch production, slays another track with his growling, bass weight that slaps with the force of a fighting grizzly claws.   The drop transforms into constant, heavy, eccentric slurs mixed in with crawling, bass whirs.  Turn up your speakers and find your animalistic side for Cauze’s wicked, deep dubstep track on the proper prowl.  If you’re trying to hear this thrown in the mix, listen to Sukh Knight dropping it proper on Get Darker Tv #122.

Taiki & Nulight – “Bad Habbit”

These guys are sick. I first heard them about six months ago when Dream tweeted about their free EP that they had released. Their track “Defate” first introduced me to their signature heavy sound. Then while watching an episode of Get Darker TV I watched them spin a very energetic, fun, heavy set and I was instantly hooked. Their track “Bad Habbit” is set to release of off Benga’s new label cleverly named Benga Beats, and its a big one. Bad Habbit has been smashing dance floors and and booming over the english radio, now it’s ready to bless the public! Check out this tune:
